Chris grew up in Sonoma, California and has been designing houses since he was 6 years old. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Environmental Design with a Bachelors of Architecture.
He spent the next 4 years designing luxury homes with Walker & Moody Architects in San Francisco and department stores for Mervyn’s Corp.
In 1986 Chris entered the Graduate Program in Real Estate Development at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He received his Masters of Real Estate Development in 1988.
For the next 10 years Chris was Senior Project Manager for Seeno Homes of Concord, CA. Seeno builds over 800 homes per year. Chris was also the V.P. of Development for Dale Poe Development Corp., builders of the master planned new town of Stevenson Ranch, CA, which is now home to over 20,000 residents.
In 1996 Chris started McMahon Architects+Builders, which is now a well-established design firm known for high quality innovative concepts. As a general contractor and registered architect, Chris is recognized as an expert in both fields, and builders and homeowners truly appreciate his design solutions.
Chris earned his California General Contractors License in 1988 and his California Architects License in 1992.

Andreia Vargas has a degree in Architecture from UNISINOS University in São Leopoldo, RS, Brazil. She brings fantastic design abilities and talent to the firm. She joined McMahon Architects+Builders in February 2007.
